INDIA TRAVEL - LESSER KNOWN WONDERS OF INDIA PART 3 - MARAVANTHE BEACH ROAD

Hi friends! I am back with the next part of my series on lesser-known wonders of India.
Let me ask you something. Have you ever seen Sea and a River flowing parallel to it and a Highway separating them? Can you visualize the scenery? Have you ever traveled to such a place?

Maravanthe Beach Road - Today I am going to take you to a journey of one such wonderful and unique place. I am talking about Maravanthe Beach Road in the state of Karnataka. It is a National Highway. On one side of it is the Maravanthe Beach and on the other flows the River Suparnika. This presents scenery, which is only one of its kind in India.

ROAD BETWEEN SEA AND RIVER

Located at a distance of 55 km(34 mi) from Udipi, this place presents a spectacular sight. Imagine, you can not only enjoy at the beach but at the same time can view the free-flowing river too. And the most wonderful thing about this place is that River Suparnika almost touches the Arabian Sea here, but does not join it. In fact, it makes a U-turn here and travels more than 10 km more before joining the sea. Kodachadri hills form the backdrop of river Suparninka, providing a beautiful view.

Beach has white sand shores. Along with clear blue sky and swaying palm trees, it provides a visual treat. For the lovers of water sports, you can go scuba diving and snorkeling. For spiritually inclined, you can go beach walking, meditate or do yoga.

You can enjoy a boat cruise in the river Suparnika or if you want you can take a dip in it.

There are temples on the bank of river Suparnika. The major one being Maraswamy temple. It is also called Varaswamy temple. It has three Garbh Grihas where three deities are worshiped.
