INDIA TRAVEL - LESSER KNOWN WONDERS OF INDIA - PART 4 - VIZAG-TIRUPATI

Hi Guys! I am back with my new post.

Today I am going to describe one of my best road trips. A road trip covered with scenic beauty and amazing locales. I have done several road trips but none had such mesmerizing effect as this one.

I am talking about my travel from Vizag (Vishakhapatnam) to temple town of Tirupati by road on National Highway 16. Both are situated in Andhra Pradesh state of India. Tirupati is located around 750 kms ( app. 465 mi) from Vizag.

I have traveled on so many highways but never encountered such beauty and serenity as on this highway.

GOING TOWARDS TIRUPATI

We started from Vizag at around 4 in the afternoon and soon entered National Highway 16. As we kept moving forward, i was mesmerized by the sheer magic of the scenery outside. Lush green roadsides and deviders adorned by beautiful flowers made for awesome sight.. And the icing on the cake were the green hills in the backdrop.

And the best part was that there was no mad rush of traffic on this highway. Road was very smoothly carpeted. Every spot was asking to be captured on lens. Unfortunately, I could capture only a few. There was so much of calmness in the surroundings.

This is a partial toll road and is being planned to be converted into 6 lane from existing 4 lane structure.

There are a number of eateries on the roadside, where you can stop for a bite and capture the serene atmosphere along with some really good pictures..

It takes around 13 - 14 hrs to cover the distance but since we had started late in the afternoon, it soon started getting dark so I had no option but to let go of this enchanting sight. But still it was a memorable drive which I captured on my lens, and even now whenever I look at these pictures, they give me such calmness.

Please comment how did you like this post.
I will be back soon with another lesser known wonder.
Till then......
HAPPY TRAVELLING
CHEERSSSSSSSSSSSS
